Serves 6:

  • 300g Central Moliterno cheese
  • 120g anchovies in oil
  • 4 slices of homemade white bread
  • 5 sage leaves (chopped)
  • pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil

Cut the Central Moliterno cheese into fairly thick slices. Grease an ovenproof dish with a little oil. Remove excess oil from the anchovies. Remove the crust from the bread. Line the base of the dish with a layer of bread 1 slice thick, a few slices of Moliterno cheese, a few chopped anchovies, a little sage and a pinch of pepper.
